Route 622 in Rockbridge County to close July 21 for culvert replacement

road-work-headerRoute 622 (Whiteside Road) in Rockbridge County will be closed to through traffic for about a week beginning Monday, July 21, 2014. The closure will allow crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation to replace a culvert under the roadway.

A detour will guide drivers around the work zone. Westbound traffic will follow Route 602 (turkey Hill Road) west and Route 624 (Maple Swamp Road) south back to Route 622. Eastbound drivers will be directed north on Route 624 and east on Route 602 to return to Route 622.

The closure is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. on July 21 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. All work is weather permitting.
