A Timberville man had died after a fatal crash on North Valley Pike in Rockingham County on Sunday.

Damian A. Siever, 30, suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

According to Virginia State Police, Damian Siever was travelling southbound on Route 11 in a Hyundai Tucson that was struck by the driver of an Infiniti Q50 heading northbound.

VSP said the Infiniti, driven by David J. Siever, 28, of Timberville, crossed the center line causing the Tucson to go off the right side of the road.

The accident occurred at 3:27 a.m., according to police.

The relationship of the two individuals was not disclosed. However, an obituary for Damian Siever shows he has a brother named David.

Fatigue is being looked at as a cause of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
