A Roanoke man was arrested Thursday after police seized approximately 636 grams of heroin and fentanyl, 75 grams of cocaine, eight firearms and an undetermined amount of cash.
Anthony Brehon Reese, 32, has been charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm while in possession of Schedule 1-2 narcotics.
Additional charges are pending.
The Star City Drug and Violence Crime Task Force, along with members of the City of Roanoke police gang interdiction unit closed in on Reese, an alleged violent gang member, as part of a narcotics operation.
Two search warrants were executed by task force members and Virginia State Police in the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW and the 3200 block of Hershberger Road NW in Roanoke.
Reese is currently being held at the Roanoke Adult Detention Center without bond.
The Star City Drug and Violent Crime Task Force is comprised of investigative personnel from the Virginia State Police, the City of Roanoke Police Department, Salem Police Department, Roanoke County Police Department and Vinton Police Department.
