Ride with Pride announces upcoming events

ride with pride horseThere will be a trail ride in the beautiful George Washington National Forest on Sunday June 1, 2014.  It will be held at the Benson’s Run Area in Deerfield, VA. 

To get there, take Rt. 250 to Rt. 629 which is Deerfield Valley Road to Forestry Service Road 173.    There will be marked five and ten mile trails where riders can ride at their own pace.  The earliest time riders can start is at 9am but they must be back by 3pm.  There will be lunch provided from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.  The cost per rider is $30 and the cost for non-riders is $10.  Both include parking on private land and lunch.  All proceeds will go towards Ride With Pride in Staunton, a therapeutic horsemanship program for children and adults with special needs and now veterans in its new veterans program.
