Richmond: Police investigating Christmas Night shooting that killed one, injured two others

Richmond Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in an incident reported on Christmas Night on the 1400 block of Clarkson Road.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 9:29 p.m., according to a police report.

Officers arrived and located an adult male down and unresponsive in the stairwell of an apartment building.

The man had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

A second victim was present on the scene and a third victim was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital. Both were adult males with gunshot wounds, their injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
