Richmond Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that took the life of a Henrico man on Chippenham Parkway.

Omar Colina Leal, 20, of Henrico, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:52 a.m. Saturday crash, which was reported in the northbound lanes of Chippenham Parkway near the Forest Hill interchange.

The RPD Crash Team responded to the scene and determined Leal, who was found unresponsive in the roadway, was the driver and sole occupant of the crashed vehicle, and that speed was a factor in the crash.

Anyone with further information about this incident is asked to contact RPD Crash Team Investigator D. Peppel at (804) 646-1042 or call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.

The P3 Tips Crime Stoppers app for smartphones may also be used.

All Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
