This week on “Rewind-Mania,” my cohost and I reviewed Sting and Big Van Vader’s titanic clash at “Starrcade ‘92” on Dec. 28, 1992.

This is the second encounter in Sting and Vader’s legendary trilogy of matches that captured the essence of the David vs. Goliath story.

Earlier in the year, Vader defeated Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at the “Great American Bash.” Here, the occasion was the “King of Cable Tournament,” held to celebrate 20 years of pro wrestling on TBS.

Sting and Vader advanced to the finale of the tournament, setting the stage for this rematch.
