Report: Former AEW world champ Mariah May headed to WWE

Earlier this afternoon, AEW star Mariah May was inexplicably removed from the company’s roster page. According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, her debut in WWE is “imminent.”

This news comes after months of speculation regarding her contract status. The former AEW women’s world champion has been absent since her vaunted match at “Revolution” against “Timeless” Toni Storm, billed as the “Hollywood Ending.”

How appropriate.

While the British star honed her craft in Japan, for World Wonder Ring STARDOM, May blossomed on American soil during her 14 months tenure in AEW — feuding with Storm in a tale that mirrored the classic film “All About Eve.”
