Redskins announce ticket lottery for Fan Appreciation Day

Contributors

redskins-helmetIn response to a record number of Training Camp fan invitation registrations, the Washington Redskins announced today a ticket lottery will be conducted for Fan Appreciation Day on Aug. 2 and the Washington Redskins-New England Patriots joint practice sessions on Aug. 4-6.

At this time, fans wishing to attend Training Camp on the aforementioned dates may enter the lottery free of free of charge by visiting redskins.com/trainingcamp. The deadline to enter is Friday, July 25 at noon ET. Randomly selected fans will receive an e-mail on Saturday, July 26 with a link to a printable ticket with a unique bar code, which guarantees access to the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center on the date for which their name was drawn.

Included below are important details for fans interested in attending practice at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center on those select dates:

Why are the Redskins using a lottery system?

  • Via the Redskins’ online fan RSVP system, the team has received a record number of registrations for Fan Appreciation Day and the Redskins-Patriots joint practice sessions.
  • Based on NFL best practices, an automated, random lottery system is the most fair way to distribute complimentary tickets which will guarantee access to these high-demand events.

What practice sessions are subject to the Fan Lottery?

How do I enter and what do I receive if I am selected?

  • The lottery system is free to enter (online at redskins.com/trainingcamp or by mailing a 3×5 card with name, address, phone number and e-mail address to Redskins Training Camp Lottery at 21300 Redskin Park Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147).
  • The deadline to enter is Friday, July 25 at noon ET.
  • One (1) entry per fan per practice session.
  • Each randomly selected fan will receive four (4) complimentary tickets which will guarantee access to the day of practice for which their name was drawn.

How will the process work?

  • Randomly selected fans will receive an e-mail on Saturday, July 26 with a link to a printable ticket with a unique bar code.
  • Each fan entering the gates, including children, must present their complimentary ticket prior to entry in order to guarantee access.
  • Tickets are non-transferrable. Unauthorized transfers will be voided and all tickets in the group will be cancelled.

What else do I need to know?
