Over the past week or so, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has responded to a number of larcenies from vehicles, homes and outbuildings in the Crimora, New Hope and Waynesboro areas.
During these incidents, the suspect(s) appear to be entering unlocked cars, homes and buildings. Firearms, money, electronics, and tools have been stolen.
The Sheriff’s Office wants the residents to be aware of the importance of securing your property at all times. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle, especially if they are in plain sight and unsecured. If you see any suspicious cars or people in your area please call 911 or, in non-emergent situations, call 540-245-5501.
