Radio Control Club plans Fly-In this weekend

The Rivanna Radio Control Club is holding its 2009 Fly-In on Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at UVa.’s Milton Field.

Flying models of all sizes from Giant Scale, War Birds, Aerobatic, Fun Fly, Helicopters, Trainers and others will be hitting the skies. At noon both days, all aircraft will be lined up in the center of the field, allowing spectators to inspect up close the Parade of Aircraft and meet the owners.

There will be raffles for airplanes and equipment. Hobby Town will have a tent with products to show and demonstrate.

The event is free and open to the public.

UVa.’s Milton Field is on North Milton Road (Route 729) off of Route 250.
