If you want to feel like you’re doing something to stand up to the excesses of Trump 2.0, the next couple of days will give you chances to do something.

We’ll start in Charlottesville, where Indivisible Charlottesville is organizing a Wednesday rally at the federal courthouse in Downtown Charlottesville to demand that the Trump administration respect the rule of law.

“‘Rule of law’ is a fundamental principle. Everyone, including those in power, is subject to the same laws and legal processes,” said Indivisible Charlottesville organizer Alicia Lenahan. “No one is above the law, and all are equal before it. Our legal system ensures accountability, fair and just application of laws, and a predictable legal system.”

The rally, scheduled to begin at noon on Wednesday, will include street theater, a sing-along and two read-alongs.

Later in the day on Wednesday, Mennonite Action in Harrisonburg will launch a collective fast calling for humanitarian aid to be immediately allowed into Gaza.

The intermittent fast will run for 40 days, or until humanitarian aid is allowed to enter Gaza freely and without restrictions.

Members of the Mennonite Action community will be fasting each week on Wednesdays and Fridays, with a weekly public vigil on Wednesday evenings.

At the public launch, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall, there will be a service of prayer and lament.

“The most vulnerable, primarily children, are already dying of starvation” said Holly Herr Stravers, a resident of Harrisonburg who attends Community Mennonite Church. “We know that thousands more lives will be imminently taken in this horrific manner if the blockade is not lifted immediately.”

And then on Thursday, Our Revolution will lead a protest outside Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, as Donald Trump hosts a private gala dinner for the top financial backers of his $TRUMP meme coin.

The protest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., as Trump is now set to reward the top 220 buyers of his $TRUMP coin, many of whom are foreign-based, with an invitation to dinner, and the top 25 coin holders will receive a “VIP White House tour.”

According to blockchain tracking data, the memecoin has already raised nearly $150 million, and Trump personally stands to become one of the wealthiest crypto holders in the world.

“Trump’s $TRUMP meme coin is just the latest scheme to personally profit off the presidency. From the Trump Hotel to this crypto grift, there’s a clear pattern: enriching himself and his donors at the expense of our democracy. This isn’t just unethical, it’s blatant corruption,” said Joseph Geevarghese, executive director of Our Revolution.
