Prince Edward County: Body found in High Bridge Trail State Park

An investigation is under way after a deceased White female’s body was found Saturday morning in High Bridge Trail State Park in Farmville.

Two bicyclists found the remains in the Prospect area of the state park at 7:30 a.m.

The discovery is being investigated as a suspicious death by the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Appomattox field office, the Department of Conservation and Recreation law enforcement and the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office.
