Price Rotary Senior Center Toured Local Thrift Shop

Contributors

Fifteen PRSC members and staff took a tour at a local Gift and Thrift store on July 29. The tour was given as if the members were “donations”. Members followed the path that donations take and the process by which they get to the store floor for sale.

What appeared to be a simple second hand clothing store held much more. Gift and Thrift also encompasses Book Savers of Virginia, Artisans Hope and Bowl of Good. The members were very impressed with the organization, the amount of volunteers and how it made use of its resources in non-traditional ways.

A very pleasant morning ended with the members having a bit of time to browse and shop in the store.
