Police seek video after Augusta County neighborhood ransacked over weekend

The Teaverton subdivision in Fishersville was targeted over the weekend with multiple vehicle break-ins, according to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

According to law enforcement, personal items were stolen from numerous vehicles.

Residents in the area are being asked to check their vehicles for missing or stolen items.

The ACSO offered the following tips for safety:

  • Install cameras
  • Install motion detection lights
  • Always lock your vehicles
  • Always lock out buildings
  • Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle or in plain sight

The ACSO is also asking residents of the Teaverton area to review camera footage from Aug. 15 starting at 9 p.m. and ending Monday morning and report any suspicious activity. If you have cameras on your property and have footage of a possible suspect or a vehicle, contact the ACSO.

If you were a victim of a vehicle break-in, call the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office to file a police report at (540) 245-5333.

Anyone with any information on these vehicle break-ins are encouraged to call the ACSO.
