Police are asking for the public’s help locating a fugitive wanted in the death of an 82-year-old pedestrian.

Lindsay Rae Price, 35, of Edinburg, is wanted for involuntary manslaughter. Felony warrants were obtained on Oct. 26.

On Aug. 6, Virginia State Police investigated a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred at 4:26 p.m. on Stoney Creek Boulevard near the intersection with Printz Street in the Town of Edinburg in Shenandoah County.

Leona M. Honaker, of Edinburg, was crossing Stoney Creek Boulevard at a crosswalk when Honaker was struck by the driver of a Kia Sorento. Honaker died at the scene.

The driver of the Sorento, Price, stayed on scene and was not injured.

The charges followed consultation with the Shenandoah County Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Anyone with information on Price’s whereabouts is asked to call VSP Division 2 Dispatch at (804) 750-8778 or email [email protected]
