Police investigating thefts from cars

Waynesboro Police are investigating a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles reported at different locations in the northeast part of the city on New Year’s Eve.

In all, 15 vehicles were entered, and property was stolen from nine vehicles between the evening of Dec. 30 and the morning of Dec. 31.

The vehicles that were broken into were on B Street, Fourth Street, Reservoir Street and Horace Avenue. Items taken include a Garman GPS, a number of CDs, a CD player, an amplifier, an iPod and car keys.
