Police chief elected to state association

Waynesboro Police Chief Doug Davis was elected first vice president of the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police at the VACP’s Annual Conference in Newport News on Tuesday, Aug. 11. 

Davis serves on the Association’s Finance Committee, Training Committee and Highway Safety Committee. He has a masters degree in justice and risk administration, is a graduate of the 198th session of the FBI National Academy and is a graduate of the Foundation’s Professional Executive Leadership School.

Davis has been Chief of Police for the City of Waynesboro since 2003.
