Route 29 (Seminole Trail) south of Ruckersville will be reduced to one lane next week during nighttime paving work. The work zone will affect northbound traffic between the Albemarle County line and Route 600 (Deane Road), beginning Monday night and ending Friday morning.
Superior Paving Inc. will begin the work at 9 p.m. and continue until 9 a.m. the next day. The paving operation will alternate between lanes and motorist should be alert for trucks and other equipment moving in and out of the work zone, as well as paving crews working close to the travel lane. Drivers should slow down as they approach the work zone and anticipate congestion and brief delays during nighttime hours.
Drivers should check www.511virginia.org or the 511 mobile app for updated information about the road closures and follow @VaDOTCULP on Twitter for updates.
