The sixth annual Our Community Place Plant Sale is set for Saturday, April 18, at Our Community Place, 17 E. Johnson St., Harrisonburg.
Growers and plant enthusiasts preparing for spring by clearing flower beds, dividing perennials and making cuttings and are wondering what to do with all those excess seedlings can use Our Community Place to find happy new homes for your flowers.
Our Community Place will also have garden structures available for sale: trellises, window boxes, cold frames and stackable compost bins, hand-built by Our Community Works – a new offshoot of OCP that provides good and meaningful work for our community’s homeless and otherwise unemployed.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature live old-time music by the Lotus Eaters.
