Orange County: 18-year-old man dead in crash, vehicle collided with tree

One man is dead following a crash on Pine Stake Road in Orange County on Sunday morning.

Fabian A. Lopez, 18, of Unionville, died at the scene.

Virginia State Police is investigating the single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 10:08 a.m. near Black Walnut Run Road.

A Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Lopez, was traveling north on Route 621 when it ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, ran off the left side of the roadway and collided with a tree before overturning.

Lopez was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
