ODU football coach Bobby Wilder on Division I Council redshirt change

AFP

oduToday the Division I Council announced that student-athletes can play in up to four games in a season without using a season of competition. Student-athletes have five years to complete four seasons of competition.

ODU football coach Bobby Wilder comments on the decision:

“I am very excited with the ruling today allowing student-athletes to play four games without losing a redshirt year. This will allow the freshmen to remain engaged throughout the season and also will help with injury prevention.”
