A Norfolk cyclist was killed in an accident near Milepost 7 on the Blue Ridge Parkway east of Waynesboro on Saturday.
According to the National Park Service, Sharon Kaye Nicholson, 67, of Norfolk, died at the scene of the accident, which was reported at 11:50 a.m.
Milepost 7 is in the area of Humpback Rocks and the Rock Point Overlook.
The news release on the accident didn’t provide information on the cause of the accident.
