Paving operations will continue on northbound Interstate 81 between exit 227 and the Middle River bridge, between mile markers 228 and 237 for crossover paving, and at the ramps at exit 235 in Augusta County.
Nighttime northbound single lane closures for shoulder work is scheduled between Exit 227 and the Middle River bridge. Work will be performed on Sunday, July 26, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning, and on Monday, July 27, from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning.
Nighttime northbound single lane closures for paving of crossovers between mile marker 228 and 237 are scheduled for Monday, July 27, through Thursday, July 30, from 8 p.m. each night to 7 a.m. the following morning.
Nighttime paving of northbound exit 235 on- and off-ramps is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning. Travelers on I-81 northbound wishing to access Route 256 (Weyers Cave Road) at exit 235 will be detoured northbound to I-81 exit 240 at Route 257/Route 682 (Friedens Church Road). Motorists will go to the exit 240 off-ramp, turn left, cross the overpass over I-81 and turn left onto the I-81 southbound on-ramp and proceed to exit 235.
All work is weather permitting.
