A 51-year-old registered sex offender pled guilty Tuesday to uploading child sexual abuse material, or CSAM, to his Google account in 2023.

Justus Clay Pease, of Newport News, had a Google photo account that was flagged for having multiple images of CSAM.

According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip regarding the files.

Pease was previously convicted of two counts of indecent liberties with a child by a custodian in 2005 and one count of indecent liberties with children in 2007.

Pease is schedule to be sentenced on Jan. 16. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and up to 40 years.
