A new traffic signal on U.S. 250 in Fishersville near a new Food Lion grocery store will go into flash mode this morning in preparation for a move to full operation next week.
The flash mode will begin today at 10 a.m. The signal will go into full operation on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m.

Seeing Chris Canty’s name in the news this week got me thinking what I think every time I see the name Chris Canty: the injury that he suffered that derailed the 2004 UVA Football season.
The jobs report released by the Labor Department on Friday had the U.S. economy suffering a net loss of 23,000 jobs in July, and revised the numbers for May and June to indicate that we lost 103,000 jobs over that two-month period.
