A far-right “news” outlet wants the Trump administration to classify trans people as domestic terrorists.
“I’ve seen a lot of calls for action, you know, among these lawmakers saying that we should be praying. One that I’ve seen on the right actually calls for the FBI to institute a new class of domestic terrorism that involves trans ideology. Is that something that the administration would support?”
This was Mary Margaret Olohan, a “reporter” with something called Daily Wire, at a White House presser on Thursday, with the question.
Daily Wire, incidentally, is the pet project of a provocateur named Ben Shapiro, who believes, among other bigoted things, that transgender people suffer from mental illness.
This Shapiro guy also favors a total ban on abortion, including in cases of rape and incest, is a George Floyd truther, and curiously, he’s also a two-time former Never Trumper who now can’t seem to get enough of Trump and MAGA.
A real winner there, behind that Daily Wire thing.
The “let’s classify trans ideology as domestic terrorism” item from those chucklebums comes up in the context of the mass shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday, with the perp being, you guessed it, a trans person.
Note here: a White MAGA drove around the Minneapolis suburbs shooting Democratic lawmakers a few weeks ago, and Daily Wire didn’t push the White House to declare White MAGA ideology as domestic terrorism.

Folks on the MAGA side love to call out the left-of-center for “politicizing” tragedy after the latest of these awful, terrible mass shootings with calls for gun control.
Then they say, trans people are terrorists, and don’t bat an eye.
Anyway, cue up Karoline Leavitt, the Trump press secretary, with her predictable non-answer.
“I would have to check with the appropriate people on that,” Karoline with a K- replied.
Hun, you don’t need to check with anybody.
