Chris Graham

On Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m., there will be a Networking 101 class at the Augusta County Library in Fishersville.  Aimed at job seekers, this free class will be taught by the Sherry Talbott, director of career services at Bridgewater College, and members of the Rotary Club of Staunton-Augusta County.

economic-forecast-headerOn Nov. 19, job seekers will have the opportunity to practice their skills at a Networking Event with refreshments. Participants will mingle and make local connections that could lead to new job opportunities.

Both networking sessions are part of the Library’s ongoing Job Club which meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Fishersville Library at 1759 Jefferson Hwy.  Job Club helps people prepare for employment or to look for a new job. Each meeting includes a program on topics such as skills assessment, mastering interviews or getting the most out of a job fair.

In less than six months, the Job Club already has a proven record of helping people find employment. One recent participant noted, “The Job Club has provided valuable insights into the job search process.”

Job Club is one of the many services provided by The Augusta County Library system through its locations in Churchville, Craigsville, Deerfield, Fishersville and Middlebrook. Learn more atwww.augustacountylibrary.org or call 540-885-3961 or 540-949-6354.
