Wintergreen Resort an 11,000-acre, four-season resort located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, is kicking off the summer season, Memorial Day weekend, with three days full of fun for the entire family, May 22-25. Arrive on Friday and stay busy, energized and entertained through Monday!

It’s Friday Night at the Movies, May 22, with a movie and bonfire starting at 8:30 p.m. Live entertainment at The Edge featuring the sounds of Jimmy O begins at 9:30.

Arts and crafts will be showcased all day on Saturday, May 23, while simultaneously, the Blues & Brews Festival will be in full swing highlighted by the Battle of the Blues-Style Bands from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Regional and award-winning microbreweries will be on hand throughout the weekend.

Other activities on Saturday include a craft workshop (2 p.m.), block party for kids and a special live performance by Nashville recording artist Jonell Moser. The day wraps up with more live entertainment with Jimmy O!

Moser, a Kentucky native, has been one of the brightest lights on the Nashville music scene and a reliable fixture in the city’s clubs, concert halls and recording studios. She energizes the hit recordings of a wide range of artists including Etta James, Rodney Crowell, Patti Smyth, Vince Gill, B.B. King, Wynonna and Trisha Yearwood.

Sunday’s events begin with an interdenominational worship service followed by the arts and crafts showcase from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Blues on the Blue Ridge terrace will be featured throughout the day, as will the final performance by Moser.

On Monday, Memorial Day, a day at Lake Monocan with beach Olympics will conclude the slate of weekend events.
