“Our library is proud to have the opportunity to present a Mad Science event to our patrons again,” said Adrienne Hamlyn, children’s programming coordinator. “Their scientists take complex theories and break them down age-appropriately making them interesting, relevant and fun for even the youngest child.”

The Central Virginia franchise will have the audience examining centrifugal force, creating eerie sounds using resonance tubes and fire, letting a genie out of a bottle, and creating a giant burst of foam. Mad Science describes the presentations a “fast-paced, high-energy performances that combines a little bit of magic with a lot of science to generate a whole bunch of fun. Children from the audience participate in all the demonstrations and are sure to be left with memories that last well past the event.”
