Lynchburg: Wanted man apprehended by U.S. Marshals Service on outstanding warrants

A wanted man was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service and local authorities in Lynchburg on Wednesday.

Guy David Irving, 34, was taken into custody without incident with the help of the Lynchburg Police Department, in the area of 618 and 620 Florida Avenue.

Following the arrest, LPD executed a search warrant on the location where Irving was apprehended. He faces additional charges based on evidence recovered during the search.

He was initially served with outstanding warrants for:

  • Contempt of court/failure to appear
  • Assault and battery – family/household member
  • Possession/transportation of firearms by a convicted felon (X3)
  • Brandishing a firearm
  • Unlawful use or injury to a telephone line
  • Failure to comply with a court order

Irving now faces the following additional charges due to the search conducted on Wednesday:

  • Possession/transportation of firearms by a convicted felon
  • Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
  • Larceny of a firearm
  • Possession of a stolen firearm
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled substance
  • Possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance

Irving is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority without bond.
