Lynchburg: Motorcycle accident on Route 29 kills 33-year-old man

A Campbell County man is dead after a motorcycle accident early this morning on Route 29 in Lynchburg.

Maquale Moon, 33, was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital where he later died due to injuries sustained in the crash.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, the accident occurred at 6:40 a.m. just before the Kemper Street exit.

The motorcycle was located in the northbound lanes of Route 29. The motorcycle’s operator, Moon, was found in the southbound lanes.

The incident remains an active and ongoing investigation.
