Lynchburg: Man in critical condition after vehicle overturns, ejected 50 feet

A Campbell County man is in critical condition after being ejected from his vehicle during a rollover crash on Greenview Drive in Lynchburg.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:26 a.m. this morning.

Lynchburg Police and Lynchburg Fire department officers responded to a report of the crash and arrived to find a vehicle overturned on its roof with no occupants inside.

After searching the area, responders located an individual believed to have been ejected from the vehicle due to the crash.

The individual, a 42-year-old male, was found approximately 50 feet from where the vehicle came to rest. He was determined to be the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The individual was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

This remains an active investigation.
