National Small Business Week comes to the Valley June 17-21 with a series of workshops being offered by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Celebrate Small Business! will offer five workshops on five days in five locations from Luray to Harrisonburg to Lexington. All the workshops are free to the business community.
The series features Virginia SBDC Retail Consultant Marc Willson as guest speaker. Marc brings 35 years’ experience in retail sales and management, but the topics he’ll address are applicable to all types of businesses.
Workshops include “Competing with the Big Boys,” “Windows, Signs & Visual Displays,” and “Doing Business in a GAFA World” –that a Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple World. The Friday workshop “TEAM Eventacular” will help small towns and merchants work together on local events.
