The latest on Scott Hall: WWE Hall of Fame or not?

Chris Graham

Scotthall2010It’s beginning to look like Scott Hall is trying to tweet his way out of the WWE Hall of Fame. He tweeted this weekend that he isn’t scheduled to be in New Orleans the weekend of WrestleMania 30, but as a businessman he is “welcoming offers.”

“Not sure I’d pass the popularity test with the suits in Stamford, CT who make the decision.”

Various reports have had Hall being announced as a member of the Class of 2014 as early as this week’s Monday Night Raw.

What we could be seeing here is that Hall wasn’t supposed to let the cat out of the bag, and is using his Twitter account to backtrack, as Jake The Snake Roberts did last month to throw the wrestling news websites off the track of speculating about his status for the Old School Raw.

Or we could be seeing that Hall was trying to tweet his way into the Hall of Fame, and now he’s using Twitter to fret about a failed effort.

It’s a better bet that Hall will eventually be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, not as much for his turn as Razor Ramon in WWE in the 1990s, but as an original member of the nWo, which, like the group now or not, was a major player in the Monday Night Wars at one of the hotter periods in the up-and-down history of pro wrestling.
