The right lane of northbound Interstate 81 in Rockingham County will be closed overnight Sunday, April 12. The location is near mile marker 248.8 at the bridge carrying Route 720 over the interstate north of Harrisonburg. This lane closure will allow crews to repair damage to a concrete beam that was struck earlier this week.
The repairs are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Sunday and be finished by 7 a.m. Monday, April 13. If crews are unable to finish in a single night, another right-lane closure may take place on Monday night. All work is weather permitting.
