CNN is getting the first shot at grilling Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, who will sit down with the network’s chief political correspondent, Dana Bash, for an interview that will air at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday.
The legacy media has made a huge issue out of the sit-down interview thing, overlooking the fact that Donald Trump has only done sit-downs with MAGA-friendly outlets, and staged what he tried to get away with calling “press conferences” that were actually hour-long stream-of-consciousness gabfests little different from his campaign rallies.

The news about the interview comes as Trump is now saying that he will take part in the Sept. 10 ABC News debate that had already been agreed to by the two major-party campaigns.
The ex-president had been signaling in recent days that he was considering dropping out of the debate.
This was how he changed course on Tuesday:
“I have reached an agreement with the Radical Left Democrats for a Debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. It will be Broadcast Live on ABC FAKE NEWS, by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business, on Tuesday, September 10th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.”
Funny, the legacy media never brings up how inarticulate and borderline demented Trump comes across in these kinds of communications.
But if Harris pauses to think through her answer to a question from Dana Bash, the gloves come off.
