Judged Trail Ride next weekend

ride with pride horseThere will be a Judged Trail Ride on Sunday, October 12.  Riders and their horses will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills on a five-mile course through fields, streams, woods, and creeks in Augusta County.

There are ten obstacles and ribbons will be awarded to riders and their horses with the best overall scores in each division.  The first horse goes in at 9amand last horse goes out at 12pm.  The entry fee is $30.

There will also be a chili cook-off.  The event will be held at Cottage Hill and Bellevue Farms on 135 Cattleman Road in Swoope, VA.  For more information, contact Laura Martlock at 540-292-1654.

All proceeds will go towards Ride With Pride, a non-profit organization that offers therapeutic horsemanship programs to children and adults with special needs and now veterans in its new veterans program.
