jmu logoAfter starting the season 3-0 for the first time since 2005, the James Madison field hockey team jumped into the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Coaches poll at No. 20.

The Dukes remained undefeated after a pair of home victories over the weekend. JMU took down Longwood 4-2 on Sept. 5 before rallying for a thrilling 2-1 double overtime win against Richmond on Sept. 7.

JMU hits the road to face Appalachian State on Friday, Sept. 12 for a 3 p.m. game before heading to Boone, N.C., to take on No. 13 Northwestern in a neutral-site match at 10:30 a.m.
