Interstate 81 slow roll closures in Frederick County on Sunday

i81-headerMotorists should be alert for northbound and southbound slow roll lane closures on the morning of Sunday, January 11, along Interstate 81 in northern Frederick County. This operation will allow crews to install overhead utility lines crossing I-81 at mile marker 322, north of Clearbrook.

The slow roll is scheduled to take place at 7:45 a.m. and should require 15 minutes or less to complete.

Traffic will be controlled with a northbound slow roll beginning at mile marker 318. The southbound slow roll starts at mile marker 1.0 in West Virginia. Flaggers will control traffic at the Clearbrook northbound on-ramp (exit 321) and at the Hopewell/Flying J southbound on-ramp (exit 323) during the slow roll.

The operation will utilize Virginia State Police and variable message boards. All work is weather permitting, and slow-roll times are subject to change.
