Hull’s Drive-In in Lexington is hosting its annual Cancer Awareness Weekend beginning Friday, Sept. 21 and running through Sunday, Sept. 23.
Free cancer information will be given out at the gate each night. For each admission ticket, you’ll be automatically entered to win a nightly prize package – one for the ladies and one for the gents – sponsored by generous gifts from the local business community. Winners will be chosen each night at intermission, so be sure to stick around. Movies featured this weekend are “Hope Springs” (rated PG-13) and “The Expendables 2” (rated R) – both great choices for older Hull’s fans! Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the movies will start around 8:15 p.m.
As a special incentive to attend on Saturday, September 22nd, Hull’s will host a Mini Health Fair featuring lots of information, free screenings, and interactive ways to get you in better shape! Gates will open at 6 p.m. on Saturday only – so you’ll have plenty of time to visit with representatives from the Lexington Free Clinic, Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital, the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation and the Virginia Medical Reserve Corp.
The Free Clinic will have information about how you can apply for services there and special information about their Women’s Clinic. You’ll have an opportunity to have a free blood pressure screening, have yourself checked for harmful skin damage, and learn how to tell if the lump in your breast is really something to be concerned about! While you’re there, get your groove on with the Zumba Dancers – they’ll show you how to stay fit and have fun at the same time!
