Hillary for Virginia to launch Virginia Veterans and Military Families for Hillary

hillary clintonThis week, Hillary for Virginia will launch Virginia Veterans and Military Families for Hillary with events in Arlington, Virginia Beach and Richmond.

At the events, veterans will discuss Clinton’s record working on behalf of service members, veterans, and their families, and what she will do as president to support military communities. Clinton’s plans include reforming veterans’ health care to ensure access to timely and high quality care, building a 21st century Department of Veterans Affairs to deliver world-class care, and empowering veterans and strengthening our economy and communities by connecting their unique skills to the jobs of the future.

Clinton believes that by supporting our veterans, we strengthen our military, our economy, and our country. In contrast, Donald Trump has a record of disrespecting veterans, our troops, and military families, including attacking a Virginia Gold Star family, lying about donations to veterans’ charities, firing employees because of their military service, insulting prisoners of war and, most recently, disrespecting the sacrifice of wounded veterans by saying that he always wanted a Purple Heart.

As part of this effort, more than 100 Virginia veterans and military family members will form a steering committee in support of Clinton and her proposals to keep our military strong and resilient while strengthening support for military families and veterans.
