Highland County Senior Services Volunteers were honored at a luncheon on September 6 at the Bolar Ruritan facility.
Thirty volunteers along with special guests, Paul Lavigne and Kathryn Coit enjoyed lunch and an opportunity to socialize. Of those attending, Bernice Smith of Monterey held the record for 17 years of service to Meals on Wheels. Shown in the picture is Bernice chatting with Ellen and Eugene Ratcliffe.

We still haven’t been able to generate anybody interested in helping Waynesboro fight back against the request for a state permit that would allow Northrop Grumman to release tons of hazardous air pollutants into our local environment.
I admire the ongoing effort of the folks at Mid-Atlantic Territory Wrestling, for trying to revive the territory pro wrestling model that was successful until Vince McMahon monopolized the business.
