A collaborative event from Augusta Health and Augusta Regional Clinic
Free mammography screening for women eligible to enroll in Every Women’s Life program. The Mamm is a free mammogram; the Glam is facials, manicures and messages. Refreshments provided.
Criteria for eligibility: Uninsured (no Medicare, Medicaid or ACA), female Virginia residents between 40 and 64 years of age with a gross annual income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Guideline—365 or more days since last mammogram.

Coming up in October
In October, two community-based programs will be launched in partnership with other community agencies. More information will be provided in mid-September, but October events will include:
- The kick-off to Get Fresh, a pilot program at Waynesboro’s William Perry Elementary School, to create long-term systemic change in the health of our community by preventing Type 2 Diabetes. Partners include Augusta Health, Waynesboro Public Schools, the Virginia Cooperative Extension, Project GROWS, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Murphy Deming School of Health Sciences. Programming includes nutrition education for students, fresh produce tastings and family nutrition programming. The first Family, Foods and Fun night is scheduled for October 9, and the first fresh producing tasting for students is planned for October 10. - Also in October, it’s Walk to School Week. This year, the event is October 9-12, and participating schools will coordinate walk-to-school events. This is also a collaborative event with many community partners. Media Advisory and further information will be sent to you later in September.
