‘Hawk Tuah’ girl launches a crypto coin: What could go wrong here?

We may have stumbled upon the dumbest story of the year, involving the Hawk Tuah” girl, a new crypto coin, and people losing their life savings.

“My $35,000 that I purchased of $Hawk is now $2,000 after 10 minutes of buying,” was the word from one fool who bought a meme coin from someone who went viral a few months ago after a random video describing her penchant for oral sex got posted online.

I wish I was making all of this up.

Haliey Welch, the “Hawk Tuah” girl in question, announced the launch of the coin on the blockchain platform Solana on Wednesday.

The apparent issue with the massive drop in “value” of the coin shortly after its release had to do with alleged insider trading.

Social media users quickly uncovered evidence of a large cluster of the coin selling within minutes of its release, causing the “value” of the coin to tank.

I keep putting “value” in quotes because, “value” is in the eye of the beholder with these things.

And if you’re buying a worthless coin because a pert blonde Southern gal who is known for her advice on how to give a good beej has her name on it, maybe whatever happens to your money, happens.

Anyway, now the interwebs are blowing up with people calling for Welch to be thrown in jail, though to be fair, we don’t know if she was in on the scam.

Somebody made a mint here, and parted a boatload of fools from their money.

Editorial comment: the natural order is alive and well.
