The Harrisonburg Police Department has arrested three city residents in connection to a shooting on Blue Ridge Drive last week.

Five suspects have been identified in connection with the shooting on Feb. 5, with two still on the loose.

The victim in Wednesday’s incident has been released from the hospital, according to police.

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center received 911 calls at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Feb. 5 reporting multiple shots fired in the 1000 block of Blue Ridge Drive. HPD officers arrived in the area and immediately set up a perimeter to begin an investigation.

Officials were informed shortly after arriving at the scene that one person had arrived at Sentara RMH with a gunshot wound.

As part of the investigation, search warrants were issued and executed on Friday by the Special Weapons and Tactics, or S.W.A.T., team on Blue Ridge Drive, Goldfinch Drive and Jefferson Street. Shelter in place orders were briefly issued for these areas to allow law enforcement to complete activities safely.

  • 18.2-18.2-53.1- Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
