Harrisonburg Police searching for suspect in bank robbery

robberyThe Harrisonburg Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred just after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the BB&T Bank located at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Mount Clinton Pike.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a white male, wearing blue jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face and wearing a black mask.

The male fled the scene in a white 2000 to 2010 Ford Expedition with tan trim. The vehicle was last seen driving west on Mt Clinton Pike after the robbery.

The Harrisonburg Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating the robbery.
