The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant in Stanardsville raised $2,074 for Feeding Greene, the food pantry of Greene County, with a recent Cause Night fundraiser.

The funds will help Feeding Greene provide food assistance to local families experiencing food insecurity.

“A huge shout-out and heartfelt thank you to Alan and Kaye Pyles and the staff at The Lafayette in Stanardsville for a very successful Cause Night supporting Feeding Greene,” said Rhonda Oliver, executive director of Feeding Greene. “We are also grateful to the Feeding Greene volunteers who worked the event and to everyone who came out to show their support while enjoying a wonderful meal.”

For more than 20 years, The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant has partnered with local groups and organizations through its Cause Night program, helping raise in the range of $250,000 for the community.

Participating organizations provide volunteers to staff the event, and 20 percent of dinner sales plus all gratuities are donated directly to the participating organization.

Feeding Greene is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to providing food assistance to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Through its client-choice pantry, children’s Backpack Program, home deliveries, emergency food assistance, and nutrition education initiatives, Feeding Greene works to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry in our community.
