Green Day in Staunton features Hylton, tour

Author Tom Hylton will speak on the relationship between strong land conservation and sensible growth policies in Staunton next week.

Hylton, the author of Save Our Land, Save Our Towns, will be the featured speaker at the Valley Conservation Council’s Better Development Symposium at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton on Wednesday, June 11.

The talk is party of a full afternoon being sponsored by the VCC that includes a 2 p.m. Green Tour of Staunton. Hylton’s talk follows at 4 p.m., and at 5 p.m. the council will hold its eighth annual Better Models for Development Awards ceremony.

The event is free, but preregistration is required. Details at www.valleyconservation.org.
