Grayson County: 35-year-old Troutdale man dead after tree falls on vehicle

A Troutdale man is dead after a tree fell on his vehicle on Chestnut Ridge Road in Grayson County on Friday.

Jonathan T. Anderson, 35, was taken to an area hospital where he later died. He was wearing a seatbelt, according to Virginia State Police.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on March 21 at 10:50 a.m., one mile west of Flatridge Road.

According to State Police, Anderson was driving a Toyota Camry westbound on Chestnut Ridge Road a falling tree struck his vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
